Welcome
Welcome to my world of photography — an exhibition of pictures, in a form much like the traditional photographic art book. As in a book, pictures and text are copyrighted by the author.
Born 1948 in Oslo, Norway. Educated in the late 1960s by Christer Strömholm and Tor-Ivan Odulf at Fotoskolan, Stockholm. From 1975, living in Switzerland. Most of the pictures here come from different places in Europe — a large part from Oslo, but not all.
Tom Erlandsen died 21 May 2014.
He is buried at Gamle Aker burial ground in Oslo. We have decided to let his web page stand as a memorial of his work.

The Collection
The main core of the work — the castle, the old church of Gamle Aker, Vigeland Park, and the “24 hours” series.
From the coastal north to the inner south — and Røros, the old mining town.
My little village of Murten; the Poschiavo valley in the Alps; and Aventicum, once a Roman capital.
The old coastal village — a real sleeping beauty, left outside the main current of history.
An old town with very much character.
As old, perhaps older — and very, very different.
Kari, Music in pictures, People, Two Boys — the human presence in the work.
Bits and pieces, more experimental — and the AirPort series.
Personal reflections on photography, in English and Norwegian, and a list of books.
Prototype — gallery links will be activated during regeneration; thumbnails will be drawn from each gallery.
